 This is the dome of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver.

My friend kept thinking we were going to get mugged. Between the two of us, we had about $2000 worth of camera gear, and we were downtown at night. And, of course, nobody bothered us at all.

The white speck, to the right, is a star.

Photoshop Edits;
Rotate, cropped a little off the bottom, resize, USM, a small curves adjustment, and add border.

I like the way the building is lit and seems to be floating in the air. However I think you can improve the photo by picking a different perspective and a wider focal length. You could add a sense of place or scale by choosing to include more buildings or other objects.

Great exposure and composition. Nice color tones and sharp. Roof peak in front a minor, minor distraction. Fitting title. Colorado capitol building, where's my A?

Lovely photograph. After seeing all the others I think this one has particular appeal because it is different. Nice clarity and focus, the gold pops against the thick blanket of sky. The perspective is nice. Good photography, frameable.
