I love the colors here, but b/c they're so bright, I'm not getting a desolation feeling. |

Nice photo. The pebbles in the foreground contrasted with the very still water makes this interesting to look at. The ruins of the pier fit the challenge well. |

great capture. love the misty feel of the water. not too fond of the amount of space the rocks in the foreground take up. |

Nicely composed, but the colors are too unatural for my tastes. |

I was going to do this myself but i`ve done it twice before already in challenges.
I like the misty looking sea but the stones look a bit pixelated still a 7. Good luck. |

Awesome colors!! Is the wall in the foreground made of colored pebbles? A very nice, clear picture!! |

whatever it was... it sure is desolate! I love the color of the background. The rock in front add to the total composition. |

Yes this is desolation. The blue blackground gives much to it. I would try to find a spot to get the most blue of it and get rid of the ground to increase the feeling. |

What a great shot. I like how the rust contrasts against the bright blue sky. Good job. Jacko. 9 |

Colours seem too saturated and zingy to be desolate though I like the image anyway.

Excellent shot, but the beach is quite intrusive and I would have cropped it all out. Flash is a little too intense, which is emphasised by the pebbles. |

Nice colour on the background, pretty good feeling of desolation, feeling may have been hightened with less foreground and more detail of the pier. |

Well this pic belongs to one of three people I know :-) Whoever it is, good one! I was wondering if I'd get to see this pier again - 9. |

This is nearly my top rated pic. I can't make up my mind about it - the garish blue is unsettling and knowledge of the history of destruction is also a factor. Well done for being provocative! |

Interesting lighting and colors. I particularly like the two shades of blue. |
