ETA: Seriously, this is a public men's room in Beijing. Found it in a small neighborhood. There's a separate area to urinate; that's actually at the entrance - it's just a tiled wall with a trough. This is the area you do, uh, the other thing. I have no idea where the paper is.

Suddenly, I feel very, very thankful for our public restrooms, which I've never been especially fond of in general.

What's not to get? You just plant your feet on either side of the, um, hole and do your thing. And, um, hope nobody comes in while you're there. And hope you remembered your own TP, cuz otherwise: ew. Yeah, OK, I don't get it, either. I'll stick to my Western bathrooms, thankyouverymuch!
