I built a prop to suspend the little toy bi-plane and the lens cap in front of a preprinted poster of the ocean scene. Lightened the image a bit, cropped and saved for the web.

creative

Great idea. However, I wish the image didn't have such a high brightness level.

Clever idea, but washed out.
05/20/2006 04:33:06 AM
I like it but would like it better if it were brighter.
05/19/2006 10:52:34 PM
This appears to be extremely over exposed. It is a clever idea but BRIGHT.
05/19/2006 10:01:04 PM
Very creative but it's washed out
05/19/2006 07:04:16 PM
why so washed out?
05/19/2006 04:21:59 AM
Nice idea, however begging for some levels adjustment. Too bright...

I LOVE THIS ONE!!! LOVE IT! 9 (only because I would rather see the contrast. . .just my personal tastes) But its so creative and the composition is so appealing!
05/18/2006 11:02:41 PM
A bit muted but a clever idea!
05/18/2006 01:16:13 PM
I think it needs some adjustment to the levels/contrast, but it's a good, creative idea that makes for an interesting photo.

I'm not sure this fits in the basic editing category.
05/18/2006 10:36:04 AM
Good creativity. Photo looks washed out a bit.
05/18/2006 04:26:16 AM
Good idea that lacks proper light metering. Could be fixed even in postprocess phase.
05/17/2006 10:19:15 PM
This looks very washed out.
05/17/2006 10:14:27 PM
nice idea but oh so light, please put some contrast in this
05/17/2006 08:56:23 PM
way too bright for me, and when I turn my laptop at an angle, you can see the "burning" in the center....not sure if you "cropped" and moved the lenscap to it's current positon. I dislike this photograph. Good concept though.

Needs contrast/levels adjustment. Looks really washed out.
05/17/2006 02:23:46 PM
This is an interesting and unusual photograph. It seems washed out overall - is that a difference between your monitor and mine or is it really that light. I hope you'll explain how you did it at the end of the challenge.

Very good concept but it looks washed out, need more contrast.
05/17/2006 01:19:22 PM
Very creative, well done, I'm just not sure I like the misty look vs sharper contrast.
05/17/2006 12:10:59 PM
Well concieved and executed.
05/17/2006 10:36:16 AM
I can't explain what's wrong here, but it has something to do with the lighting.
05/17/2006 07:57:35 AM
Clever
05/17/2006 06:10:18 AM
Nice but a bit too bright for my taste, would have liked it better had you exposed about 1 stop less.
05/17/2006 03:16:05 AM
overexposed looking... noisy...
05/17/2006 02:23:43 AM
heehee, that's cute... a little darker pic and more contrast could really help your photo, I love the illusion of the flying plane and lens cap in tow
05/17/2006 01:59:00 AM
What a great idea! 7

Great concept, but I think I would've liked this one more if it wasn't so washed out. Adjusting the levels to make the blacks darker would've made it pop.
