First poked hole in egg and drained out inside. Then glued it onto a prism. Placed on top of a clear plastic container resting on top of a stemware wine glass turned upside down. Placed flower arrangement behind the image and adjusted height of tripod to catch the arrangement in the prism as a reflection. Used black felt as a backdrop. Lighting included some natural light from the left, an overhead 4 light chandelier and a flashlight pointed off to the left to catch just the rim of light on the egg from the flashlight. Straightened image. Adjusted exposure, brightness and contrast. Cropped, resized to diplay.

Wish things weren't going out of the edges. Otherwise, it's a good composition.

I'm not really sure what it is, but I like the colors, good contrast with the background

Interesting. I like the warm color of the egg and the colorful florals. The foot of the wine glass is destracting. I think a crop on the line just above the back edge of the wine glass would balance the composition.

This meets the challenge - inanimate and arranged. Takes on the abstract/surreal and gets fuzzy.

Nice new take on the light defraction effect that seems to be done alot. I like it. Suggestions: Crop out the support stem at the bottom, center the bottom block on the support, and the substances on the bottom of the egg and the flaws in the glass objects are a bit distracting.

I'm curious as to how you got the egg to stay up there.
