The entire frame is out of focus

a nice idea, but it has a few things holding it back. the poor focus on the cap itself doesn't help. if the cap was more to the right, that would help the composition, as it's very static at the moment. curves might help the very bright window. is that a cat back left? basically, it needs more focus on the cap, both literally and figuratively.

hooray for nikon! a little blurry but whatever

Cap needs to be a bit sharper in focus. Backdround doesn't really contribute positively to the image.

I feel like the focus should be on the name on the lens cap but it is on the back side of the cap.

You need to pay attention to backgrounds and focus. There is no real interest to this.

The focal point appears to be on the left edge of the cap. I think it should have been on "Nikon" instead.

The image seems blurry except for the far edge of the lens cap. DOF and a busy background take away from the shot, IMO.

Focus is soft....background lacks intrest, maybe the background should be less in focus

Photo looks like it was slaped together so you had something to enter, despite the lack of thought or work in the image

I give it a 2

A very uninspired shot. It's as though you read the title of the challenge, and took the easiest shot you possibly could, that was in accordance with its guidelines. Next time, try harder.

too much out of focus to me

Shallow DOF is a wonderful tool, but not when it only leaves a sliver of your main subject in focus, and not even a critical sliver at that. Instead our eye goes exploring the busy and distracting background. Also, centering the subject makes it very static. Hope there's something here that helps...

focus seems a little soft

ah saw... gotcha! cool idea, you could have also put this on the end of a fishing pole, maybe outside too, (also keep in mind a little more focus could really help this photo) -- keep up the good work
