Thanks Jen, Þorsteinn and crayon. I agree about the crop. Oh well.My eye is still visioning a larger frame from the fuji...I am not used to the narrowness of the Nikon frame.
Thanks for the critique, Lynn. A note about the leaves....they were placed there to cover the hot spots from the lighting on the vase. I do see what your are saying about their placement. Thx.

Greetings from the Critique Club, well wow the new camera is working for you i would say!
This is a truly lovely image, the lighting the colors, even the vase is tasteful and a warm addtion to this shot.
Really what can I say? You should use it to advertise some flower shop or something. Or consider becoming a floral arranger? My only slight criticism of this shot would be the 2 drooping leaves in the front I would like it better if they were standing still or not there.

these flowers are beautiful! I really liked the soft lighting and the exposure used here. A better crop may land this photo much higher, in my opinion. Congrats on the top 10 placement!

| This is gorgeous! The colors are stunning, the detail in the leaves, petals and vase are crystal clear. I love the slightly off center layout and the subtle lighting. This is exactly like they should be executed. Good show! |

| An excellent example of a still life. Great job with the lighting/subject/etc. Only suggestion I would have is I'd think a little more negative space on top would balance it out a little more. |
