 The funny thing is that the spear or whatever it is Cartman has in his hand is actually a 'lovestick' from Chuuk in Micronesia that my boyfriend brought back.

In past years, an island man would carve his personal notches on the lovestick and let his would-be sweethearts feel it. At night, lovestick in hand, he would kneel beside the thatch wall opposite where a girl lay sleeping, poke the stick through the wall and entangle her long hair, hopefully awakening her without arousing her family.

So it's not a spear or anything like that at all, but a love stick. But then again, a lenscap isn't a shield.

And for those of you unfamiliar with the reference, it is a South Park reference. It is an animated (very badly animated) cartoon about potty mouthed elementary school kids and their various... uh... capers
