Thank you so much for all the kind comments! Angela loves this couch, but it's actually not ours. This couch can be found in the waiting area of Hair Studio 101, owned by Angela and two other ladies. This self-portrait is one of my first ever that doesn't use a mirror. For some odd reason I have never felt really confident with the self-timer, but I allowed this contest to teach me to "throw caution to the wind." Your comments show that I did pretty well for a first attempt.
Finally, the magic wand tool & color enhancement helped me to improve the rather drab leaves on the right side. Happily no one seems to notice the change, so apparently my usage of PhotoShop is improving as well.

I love your composition and the use of the almost primary colours. Don't know if that came out accidently or done on purpose.
And looking into your eyes, I think you love playing little jokes. 8. |

| I'm not fond of the intrusion of the plant on the right side. I think I would have tried to capture this shot more straight on and showing more of the artwork above it. |
