Shot in an alley off Main street in Newark Delaware. The alley happened to have a few pallets, and the grate, so my friends helped move them to complete the scene. This was my first idea for the challenge I obviously followed through. Bought $15 of 190proof grain alcohol and let loose using about 2/3 of the bottle over the course of 2 hours of shooting. My friend Nick had a good time posing and spitting fire.

This is some kind o' photo - great take on the challenge, well captured and professionally processed.

I like it. A lot.

Very cool image and dengerous. Well it appears you scored very well. I love the colors and the editing in this. Looks as if the fire was the only light you had. Composition is great change nothing. Focus, well you can see some motion blur but I think that adds to your photos rather than takes away from it. The graffiti in the background really adds a lot also. The only problem I see is I think the border takes away from this photo. The black tends to get lost and I think a thin white border would look so much better.

I wonder how many people noticed your hand?

By the looks of things, you have done all your homework, but didn't I read somewhere that using alcohol was one of the more dangerous methods?

I'm no expert... Be careful though, it's pretty dangerous!

As an oldy, can I say this is very grungey (is it grunge?) I like the setting and the over exposed flame adds to 'heat' I'd like to try this sometime. Bumping up one.

great idea and setting---problem is that there is not detail in the fire--could have been a 10!

A TicTac works wonders! :)
Great display of courage & intestinal fortitude! Due to the amount of time that this flame must have been present, Great capture!

An amazing shot. Heat is written all over it. The yellow background, the graffiti (bit of social heat). Nice job.

The fire-spitting is quite a feat. The cluttered background and graininess detract from the effect, though.
