Well I think you just entered this in the wrong challenge. Technicall I would say it is near perfect. The only thing is that it doesn't really speak "heat" to me. Well your DOF is perfect and the focus couldn't be any better on the model. The colors are right on as well. It would have been better if she would have smiled for you. The tight crop really works great here as well. If this were a protrait competition then I would know you would have placed well with this shot. Either way this is one great image to catch on the fly while you are supposed to be doing something else. |

Forgetting about the challenge title for a second, I think this is a great portrait and would not want to be on the end of the models 'stare'. Its oft said that 'the eyes have it' and you certainly got the eyes spot on here! Great shot and a bump of 1 :) |

A good portrait, but it makes me think cold instead of hot. |

I am voting this an 8. The loss of points are due to the lighting not feeling very warm. Add that to the fact that she is dressed in winter clothes, it gives a feeling of coldness, not heat. |

Pretty model, nicely photographed, but without the caption there's nothing to indicate heat. A bright sun in the background, or warm lighting, would make the photo say "sunny day," and the caption wouldn't have to. |

WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE EFFECTIVE TO SHOW THAT IT WAS A SUNNY DAY OTHER THAN THE LIGHTING ON HER FACE. WHO KNOWS IF THIS REAL OR ARTIFICAL LIGHTING. |

Beautiful portrait but not much to convey heat. But I like it - 7 from me |

WOW - I love the lighting. Great portrait. The squint of her eyes works here. |
