Nice crisp shot of the butterflies. The colors seem a bit dull though. Also, I'm not really sure how this communicates summer, why couldn't it be a spring photo?

You've probably heard this a few times, but these are definitely not monarchs. These I believe are yellow swallowtails. Anyway... very pretty picture, I love your composition, very nicely done. I don't care for the border, I'm not a big border person. -9-

contrast would help brighten this image. feels a little dull ( not much variation in tones). the border doesn't help, only seems to emphasize the lack of punch in the image.

The focus is great and the butterflies are beautiful. I like the inclusion of the flowerless stems. The wide border is very distracting.

Wow, would have been a 10 from me without that hideous and unnecessary border which distracts me from the photo. Stunning composition. I would have liked a tad more saturation. Interesting lighting. 9

These are Tiger Swallowtails, NOT Monarchs.
Too dull and flat. Good sharp focus though.
Mediocre composition.
