::: Critique Club :::
Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.
First Impression - the most important one:
You got what you want .... a pile of controversy :)
Composition:
The fountain hits thirds .. the top of the house hits thirds .. but it still feels centred ... not sure why ...
Subject:
Does it or not ... really I am from NZ .. and it doesn't do much for me ... but in your country it may.
Technical (Colour and light):
Nice Colours and natural light .. both work well .. .also a good sharp picture.
To grow its vote?:
Do something that says something to all .. .the problem is that this site is not made up of mainly americans .. so it doesn't say much to a lot of people ... and those it does it seems you offended some of them.
Summary:
I like this as an architechture shot ... which is currently voting and think it would have done ok in there. But is a personal statement and I think worked well for that. Keep it up .. I personally like challenging peoples thinking too.
If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via
the PM system.
Cheers

You're referring to the people inside the house and you're allowed to have your opinion about them being all mad, but all I see in the photo is a big, white house with a fountain in front and a flag on top. Your photo doesn't show failure. |

not to get too driven by symbols but i love the shadows and the lighting, When i look at the shadows i get the impression its late in the day, perhaps late in someone else's day as well ;) And the shadows give me a feeling of darkness and gloom which i think is fitting for the subject. |

Beautiful shot, and I agree. It'll be interesting to see the range of voter sentiments. |

I absolutly hate when people express their political beliefs with their (challenge)photographs. It sickens me!

very nice shot, and very funny as well. it could be a little better if the fountian was in the center of the building. |

Sad bring politics into here nice that its in your opinion. Too high of a contrast on the trees learn to contrast mask areas and control lighting. |

I just don't like political statements where I go for enjoyment whether I agree or disagree. |

I can't think of anything that better expresses the concept of "failure". ;) |
