A light bulb.
What I wanted: blue background with an orange bulb in front. How I planned to do that: Blue background, lit with something, and "paint w/light" the light bulb with something that was orange.
How it worked: It didn't.
SOOOO
white light bulb, black background. Long exposure. Might have "painted" with a flashlight that has a purplish light, don't remember.
PP: Rotated, cropped, went to "Auto Color Balance" in PSP, slid the temperature slider all the way to the left for "warm," and made the strength 100. That turned a slightly blue light orange. Used neatimage to get rid of the noise. Cloned out some dirty spots on the bulb. Cloned some more. and some more. (don't worry, not alot. I was working with like 3 pixels at a time). USM cuz it looked soft as a result of NI.
So, what you see is actually a shot with whacked out white balance. sortof. |

Interesting photo. Nice lines, contrast, lighting and the use of negative space. |

Unusual - I have no idea what that is, but it makes a very effective image! |

Very nice close up shot. Way to use colors to radiate heat. |
