OK...failure...well the bat broke...No. 8 got a foul ball and a strike...is there failure?....what is failure?...is success part of a representation of failure?...I mean if something fails....does not something succeed?....and yes...it was a lucky shot.

Did a burst shot of three of which this was the second. Shot with the telephoto lens attachment from our seats at a Camden River Sharks game for our company picnic. Our seats were right above the first base line at home plate.

Hey, its another baseball shot...not a flower! Well this is a place holder, so your never know! ;)!

::: Critique Club :::

Hi, my name is Kari and from the critique club.

First Impression - the most important one:
outside your norm and you still got top 15 ... you are good.

Composition:
The player is centred but the action is all around so this really does work.

Subject:
So subjective really, failure is really self determined.

Technical (Colour and light):
lovely colours and a good sharp action shot.

To grow its vote?:
Take not of what is below include the ball next time (heheh)

Summary:
Great work .. and well done ... not bad placing for a placeholder.

If you've got any questions about this critique, please feel free to contact me via
the PM system.

Cheers

Kari

Great catch (and I'm not referring to the baseball!)

Shame you weren´t able to take the photo at the time when the ball was in the frame too, preferrably in the middle of it breaking the bat, THAT would have been cool, hard, I know but definately cool. This is also pretty cool though so don´t get me wrong :)

could have also worked for success, depending on how you look at it.

Hey! I've seen broken bat singles before, so not sure it's a failure. It's not a strike out at least. Nice action shot capture. Well done.

The shot is framed perfectly and the focus is absolutely spot-on! :) What a great moment to capture - and in such detail!
