Wonder how this will score with the community. For my money this is a great example of negative space. The space contains active elements but it is subdued and homogenous; not drawing attention to itself but rather creating the atmosphere or ethos of the composition. This would not work for me if the camera was raised much higher as I think that would tend to give emphasis to the ground and it would become more prominent. Likewise, while the buildings to either side are necessary to set an opposing color tone against which the neutral colors create a negative space, too much more of those buildings would have overpowered the central area of the blueish-gray pavement and columns. Good work and I'd like to see how much work it took from you to get this image. How many did you take? - 8 |

I really like what you've done with this - the way the space takes over, dwarfs your subjects, leaving them isolated and a bit lonely. This is a very strong image and there's no way it would work half as well without all of the space and distance. |

All areas of your frame are quite interesting in detail and texture... unfortunately not what was asked for in this challenge! Where's the negative space? 2 |

great choice to aim for the stones. Might be even better as a symmetrical shot, starting from the middle of the scene (just to the left). I just say that because everything in the distance appears symmetrical. |

The neg space here is so interesting, one can hardly call it negative, but I do and I find this photo really engaging and fun to explore. |
