Was it accidental? Yes and no. I purposely set up this shot to have smoke between me and the camera. I'm standing behind a "chiminea," an outdoor fireplace. In this shot, the wind shifted and the smoke was going directly into my face. But I found something poignant about the pose. Is poignant the righ word? Pregnant? Pretentious?

you're right, there is something there about the pose, as though the smoke represents the pressures of the world
