I saw this photo due to Mavrik's post in the forums. I did not vote this challenge as I was on vacation.
This is an excellent shot. The colors and quality are vibrant. The dof works well to show proper depth, and the position of the boy to the man tells many stories, and creates a leading line from the boy to the man.
A shot you should be proud of! |

UGH
You should be more more more than happy with this shot. It's a 10. Stupid voters. Five 1's - dumbasses.

Wouldn't this shot have been SUPERcool if the player in the background was the same as the kid in the foreground?! Excellent composition and timing - I really love this photo. The areas of concrete by the hand are overexposed (too much) but otherwise this is superb. |

technically this is a good, clean shot IMO. i like the dof. you could crop some to get rid of his leg maybe. fits the topic. i'm not a sports fan, but i can appreciate the kid at least. 6 |

You should have gotten a picture with sheffield in the background *that* would have been cool. |

Beautiful shot. Composition is pretty good. Wished you didn't cut off the knee of the kid. Depth of field is great, seems like I'm at the game myself. Good job. |

Good choice to leave the player out of focus, keeping the center of interest on the boy. I can certainly imagine what he must be dreaming! |

Lighting and focus is good. It's a good photo but doesn't really bring out any emotions. |

If they had the same number on this shot would have been PERFECT. Love the colors! |

This is really terrific. The young fan, the grown player ... it's both emotionally striking and visually lovely. You wouldn't think you could get this much expression from the back, but it's there. Really nice. |

I wonder if this would have been better if both people were in focus or if the focus was on the player in the field with the foreground soft. Not a bad shot though and definitely meets the challenge. |
