First impression
You met the challenge but this picture only shows strawberries but not a field. Good looking strawberries and some of them in superb focus and show a great detail. Lovely colours. This picture would have scored well in the Bokeh challenge I think.
What can you do better
The picture is maybe a bit too simple. Adding something to the strawberries might have helped. There is nothing that connects this to the Beatles but the title. (the same for my picture).
I saw this thread two days ago, read'em and weep :-)

Greetings from the Critique Club
First off let me say that as a thumbnail this image works really well. It definitely pops among the group due to its color rendition.
I The image and the title definitely meets the challenge. The intent here is a good one as is the concept. I think what is lacking here is the extra push for this to pop really well as a full sized image. Either a level or a curve adjustment would have been good to make the colors come out. Even a play with the Hue and Saturation would be great as well.
Photographing food items are never easy. However, I'll let you in on a secret. Use PAM or a similar ingredient when photographing food items. PAM creates a sheen on the items and gives them luster. Luster enhances light thus making the strawberries more suculent and looking tasty ;)
This is a good image. Minor adjustments (specially since it's an Advanced Editing challenge) would have made this image truly "sing".

they don't quite look red enough?
they look a little too pinkish.
that may have been the original color, but, it would have been nice if you could have made them redder.

NOTE.... I'm looking at the image first and tyrying to guess the title. If I can't guess, I can't give high marks :-(
got it, though there have been some with nice fields in the shot as well - they get a bit more credit, but this is a good fruity shot |
