 This was built in 1930, a 42 foot overshoot waterwheel for milling grain. This is on the Berry College Campus near Rome, GA, the largest college campus in the US. I was tinkering with the camera trying to figure out how to do sepia with this 717 when a young fella came up to shoot the wheel...with the identical camera! Couple of quick lessons and here 'tis.

I donĂ¢€™t think the sepia tone works very well straight out of the camera, this shot seems to lack contrast. May have been better had you just used colour, as the subject looks quite rustic anyway.

Great photo. I love the reflection of the wheel and building. The trees also add great interest as do the woods. You know it looked the same the year it was built... 10

cooooool....'specially the reflections. maybe a tighter zoom on the mill would make it more prominent as the subject?
