I chose this for this challenge as the textures and the crack down her face shows she had a long life and the expression just brought her to life for me. It speaks to me...she tells a story without speaking.

this is just so awesome, whats it doing at 14th?? wonderful shot shiz, the textures, lighting, framing..all fabulous.

No favourites yet - well I'll correct that at least. An unearthy wonderful shot, though i think very few made the visual connection with that crack and the path of tears - more pity them. Mesmerisingly good work Shizz. How it didn't score above 14th is beyond me.

I like that we can see the crack in this, seems to age the monument.

Good "fill the frame" pic. The crack along the left side of the statue gives your image that extra boost.

Great composition. Love the way you were able to capture the surface texture of the head. Bring us close to see the crack in the face. Gives it great character. Awesome job.
