 I took this shot just outside of Wichita, Kansas. I'd been passing through when I realized the storm I drove into was a dangerous one. Later I read that 5 tornado's had touched down out of this system. It had gotten very black out, the rain had started and the wind was so strong that I couldn't see more than 3-4" past my windshield. A truck almost hit me because he couldn't see me until he was right on top of me. I'd called my friend (had my headset on) and talked to her the whole time saying "don't you hang up, don't leave me alone in this". The power of this storm literally moved my very heavy Mercedes across the highway as I creeped along; my handicapped daughter in the back seat. I was terrified. Right after I came out of this storm I saw this brilliant double rainbow. I'm a Christian and it was, to me, as if it were God and his Son...saying "We were always here, you were never alone. We will always be here as you pass through every storm". It was beautiful. I took it on July 13th I think..but your system won't let me enter it (even though I think the date is ok...summer)...and I don't expect to win, but it was a great shot and it needed to be shared. Thanks so much. P.S. I'm not a professional photographer in that I photograph architecture and then have my European Manufacturers create miniatures in the form of a Candlehouse...but I've always got my camera with me...it was all shot on AUTO.

Wonderful shot but what season does this represent? Maybe this is not the best photo for this challenge but it is a great shot to have!

Nice capture of a double rainbow. I've seen these before, but never had a camera handy to try to photograph one. I like your composition here. The focal point is at the center about a third up from the bottom; the brightest spot where the arc of the main rainbow leads my eye. The second rainbow to the right is positioned perfectly to balance the lightness to the left. The fence keeps the foreground from being completely boring, but doesn't become a focal point itself. Well done.

great shot.. think it may have lost a little in the resizing or uploading perhaps. The title sums it all up... it is a promise from GOD

wOw what a great double rainbow!
Maybe you optimized it too much tho... the sky to the left is a bit chunky.
