I would like to thank everyone for their comments/suggestions on this. I originally had this taken with my 50mm f/1.4, but I got a 70-300 from UPS the same day the challenge ended, so this one may have been a bit too rushed and I should've moved the coin over to the side probably rather than a dead center. In my 50mm version of this, you can tell rather well that the black thing is a spade that was used for recovering the coin, but I realized too late it looked odd in this one. I'm trying to learn, hopefully I'll keep progressing!

IMO the placement of the coin would be better a bit more to the right. Not in the center unless you have some lines that draw your eyes to that direction.

Good dof, but maybe a little too centered?

Is a good find, but is really centred in the picture.

Excellent subject! Could have been a little bit closer, perhaps a macro.

Too much dirt, need more coin. How much is it worth? j/k No really how much?

I think there needs to be more focus on the coin... it is, after all, the main subject of the photo. Get a bit closer... show more of the coin.

I really like the idea and the shot, but I would have liked to see a bit more of the coin.

Nice take on the challenge but I find the composition boring, way too centered and I would have liked this image heaps better if the coin were composed somewhere along the rule of thirds composition.

You could probably pull in a little closer on the coin and have it fill up a lot more of the frame if you can do that with your lense you have. I think it would help the composition out cause the black triangle coming from the right edge of the frame is really distracting.
