This is a gorgeous shot. It speaks to me now that we are in the midst of fall colors! It is just lush. I love Sedona. |

Hi Tina...
I scored this photo a 6, which means it's slightly above an avarage photo, but not much. The scene you chose here is nice, but there is nothing of particularly strong interest to look at. It is a simple outdoor landscape scene with no strong focal point for the viewer. I don't know how this particular scene could be improved much, especially under the rules of this particular challenge. A scene like this one often takes a bit of 'time of day' research to determine when the best LIGHT is for the shot :) Photography is all about looking for the light. The light will determine whether a scene like this one is strong or just mediocre :) |

Thank you everyone for your very helpful comments. This is great for my learning curve. I figured the washed out sky would bring down the numbers on this one, but the rest of the photo turned out so great, I thought I'd give it a try. I played a little bit with the adjustments to try and bring a little color to the sky, but it made the rest of the photo look worse, so I left it alone.
Thank you again, I look forward to learning a lot from everyone here! |

Very nice composition. I would have adjusted the contrast a bit more as your sky is washed out. |

Very pretty scene, but I think it would have looked even nicer with a polarizer filter. The reflections on the water wouldn't be there, and the sky would be more blue rather than being so blown out. Still, it is a nice pic. |

Lovely shot, the texture on the water is a bit odd though. Looks like saran wrap. Stiill very nice. - 7 |

I was in Sedona last summer and the red rock formations are amazing. There are landscapes that are much more impressive than this and I wonder why you didn't take advantage of them, especially during sunsets. |

composition is good...seems a bit overexposed to me though |

Composition is great. Wish there was a bit more contrast. The sky is a bit bright. Depth of field is pretty good. Reflections in the water is nice. |
