Looks like it is the shadow from the moon itself! Earth shadow on the moon looks different.

good shadow, but isn't that the far side of the moon not illuminated by sun shadow, not earth's shadow?

Actually it's the moon's shadow, not the earth's. Still a very nice capture with very nice sharp detail. Well done.

sorry to be a pest, but there is no Earth's shadow on the moon except during an eclipse. good technical shot, though.
