Hello from the Critique club, my name is Jon Rowe, and i will be looking at your image this evening :)

Composition/Lighting : great job! i really don't see how this did not turn out better, but be proud of it. it's a great shot. the lighting is spot on, i like the angle of the light you chose, he's shooting up, and brings the eyes to the outside of the frame. very nice. no blowouts, very nice. overall great :) i gave it a 7:)

Challenge : i think it definitely meets the challenge, but some voters don't spend enough time to fully analyze, and i think that shows here. great shot :)

Conclusion : there's really not that much i can nitpic on this. great use of lighting, great detail. nice look of anticipation and concentration on the boys face. really tells a story, which is hard to do in a setup shot w/ kids, as i'm sure you've found.
i think the toga is a bit much, personally. but to each his own. doesn't take away, great image :)

Keep on shootin!

Good luck on your future challenges:)

"Oh, couldn't you find a better frame. The subject is very good but I hate the overexposed left side."

apparantly I did find a better frame, than you by far. You should mind your comments when your own job is clearly lacking in the same subject of critisism that you project to others. 32nd -> 131st. I do like alot of your other photos in your portfolio though.

Very nice, clean shot. The "toga" looks staged though, I think more natural clothing would improve the picture.

Missing the foreground frame - background subject. But nice shot!

I don't believe that this is what the challenge demanded.
