Thank you so much for your comments!
I'm heading off to Fiji tomorrow morning, and don't have the time to play around in photoshop right now - but when I get back, I will definitely experiment with different crops to see if I can make my images tighter.
Thanks again! Very much appreciated, and as soon as I get back from my island getaway, I shall return the favour. :-)
Regards,
Petra :-) |

oh wow, i would love to see one of these, it is a bit hard to see him, is there anyway to zoom in on him in your photo program?
otherwise a better zooming in with your cam and a closer crop would possibly make him stand out more.
black is very hard to foto, i know, i have black and white dogs! |

i am also very amatuer...but I'll critique like you asked. I think your image would be more balanced with less of the water showing. I would crop to have only one of the houses in view--either way. it is a lovely capture of this beautiful bird ! Carry on... |

I love black swans so much! There were some in a nest by a little lake near my house and I was amazed at how protective and "hands on" the male was. He would sit on the nest and watch over the babies when the mom was off in the water doing her thing :)
Sweet photo!!
