Good Subject, I would attempt to crop a bit on the left to get the weird color removed and then also crop to the right more to off center the elephant a bit IMO its just a bit to centered for my tastes. Or maybe a selective color with the overexposed area highlighted.
The positive things I can say is other than teh overexposed area (which I understand is time of day and cant really control that) The sharpness and clarity are both very good and range of focus is great also.

That's a really cool elephant! Great capture. To go against the previous comment, I think I would try to crop out some of the brightness on the right. |

Nice detail on the elephant and I like his pose. I'd suggest cropping more off the left though - to lose the odd color shadow (at first I thought it was part of another elephant). Looks like y'all had fun. :-) |
