Thank you for all your comments. I really appreciate any help given. I have recently finished a degree and as a birthday/finishing pressie hubby kitted me out with some fantastic photographic equipment. I just have to learn how to use it all. Although I've been a keen photographer most of my life it is only in the last month or so that I have begun to take it particularly seriously. This is my first challenge and I am looking forward to becoming an active participant on DPC.
Thanks again |

2 - Different - but concept not holding my attention, plus focus on the cd a little better may have helped give this something extra. The oof effect is quite nice, however for this Challenge, the frame/foreground subject needs to be more dominant & defined overall, in my opinion. Ultimately, I see a shot of a key viewed through the hole of a cd, without any strong and unusual elements required to make this 'special'. |

rather than adding to the composition, I think this serves more to distract and confuse. I took too long to recognize the piano key. but hey, it kept me looking I guess. |

Interesting. would maybe have drawn back a bit to get more keys in to be able to tell more easily that looking at a piano? |

It took me a long time to figure out his is a piano key. I don't know what this photo is trying to say. |

its a little hard to see what is being framed here, also the cd and the key dont complement eachother that well.. |

Good idea, but for me the disc detracts too much from the subject (e.g. your framing is overpowering the subject). :) |

Good idea for a frame though I think it would be more interesting if your subject fitted wholly within it. |
