Olive Iron Furnace, Lawrence Co., Ohio was built in 1846. The Stone arch, unique to this furnace, supported the boiler. Another arch, now collapsed, was used to charge the furnace.

Interesting. Good idea and is desolation but I can't find a spot that my eye wants to rest on. The cropping seems a bit aggressive. You could try putting the center of the tunnel into a golden ratio type composition. The colors don't work for me - Seems like afternoon sun and everything is washed out. 5

I think the composition is great here but the exposure and colors need work; too caustic green v. digital grey blues. I do like the clay earth; perhaps revisit this spot at the golden hour.

Looks like a nice location. Green is rather hard, IMO, to make desolate. Green as a visual symbol implies verdent, fertile, all things bright and beautiful, if you know what I mean. Red rich soil tends to say something similar. I wonder if you had composed the image more through the broken old tunnel or bridge if there was a more desolate viewpoint which you could then have enhanced by reducing the saturation of the colours.
