Hi all
You are all right. It's hard to tell what is going on in this one.
This is my second submission at DPC. Mistakes are a great way to learn.
live and learn, right?

Not really sure what I'm looking at here. I don't really see much appeal.

Sorry, this does nothing for me, even as an abstract. The flared light and blown highlights at the right dominate the photo, nothing is sharp but the out-of-focus aspect doesn't look deliberate, there are lots of messy reflections or artifacts, particularly on the left object.

Yep, Ikea glassware for sure. The best photos IMO are the conjunction of a great subject and great technical execution. Execution here is okay, but the subject doesn't resonate with me. Sorry.

I would suggest you using the full 640 pixles next time, it will surely lead to a better score, that and avoting blown out highlights as a big part of the photo.

The highlights are just too blown out. It's really hard to tell what this is even a photo of. Sorry.

Very difficult to make out what's going on here. I suppose that's because it was intended as an abstract, but I think the impact is a bit lost due to the lack of sharp focus, and blown out highlights. That's how we learn I guess.
