I walked by the side of this building and saw these lines fade into the distance. It was the empty bench that caught my attention and it made me think of desolate. I went back 3 times and took the pictures learning something each time. (time of day, sky, clouds, shadows)

My polarizer couldn't take the reflection out of the window and due to time contraints I couldn't wait for a nice gloomy day. Wouldn't you know, not a day of sunshine during the shadows, and not a gloomy day with this challenge.

The only edits I applied was:
Crop
Sharpen

I was going to try B&W but a liked the blue bench. That adds to the emotion. I think anyway.

ps. I was stopped everytime I went to take the photos by their security. They had to stand there while I took the pictures after I explained over and over what I was doing. Even when I was on a public sidewalk. It made the people (employees) really nervious and they called security when they saw me setting up. (It's the side of an insurance company.)

Wow, great use of leading lines and repetition here. The blue bench really stands out well, and placed very nice within the composition. Good job.
