Ugh, a 7.1 with no ribbon. That is like a sockful of pennies in the gut. Great shot though. Well composed and well processed. |

Greetings from the critique club
Congratulations! This is an emotive photograph that tells a story and draws the viewer into it.
You've used the available light to great effect. As you mention, the noise adds to the effect.
Cropping, composition, DoF are just perfect.
Congrats again, and thanks for sharing. |

Wow. Excellent. If I could vote, you'd have a 10 from me. The tones are perfect. I wish I could help that sweet little boy. I hope his situation isn't as dire as the picture would lead us to believe. :) |

Nicely done. Makes me want to hug him and bring him home with me. Definitely screams desolation to me. Very nicely done. I like your choice to leave in a smidgen of color. |

Is there a richness in desolation? There must be because photographers often seek it out to depict. In this image there is some sort of richness. Desolation in my mind is not rich, it is poor and deprived in spirit (and in all the things such as colour, tone, texture etc which symbolize spirit). It is, if you will, pseudo-photographer's-desolation. 8 because we all live accoring to these weird rules ;-) |

Very nice use of the perspective. The eye falls on the child and his cup, then escapes onward down the tunnel. If I had one slight critisism it would be that the tunnel exit might be slightly better just a little further right in the frame. |
