---Greetings from the Critique Club!---
First impression -- EEEEWWWWWW!
Meets the challenge - Not very well IMO. A pig roast is hardly desolate unless you're another pig I suppose. If you were going for the 'brown" you missed it by one.
There's not much artistic value here either. The highlights are blown out, there is no obvious composition effort, I could go on.
Moral of the story - Unless the challenge is Carcass, I would think twice about using a half eaten pig for my main subject.

| This one really stood out for me when I went through the list. Good choice of subject - doesn't meat the connotations of desolation to my mind but WOW. I'll let someone else tell you that it isn't horizon paralleled. 8 |

| Kinda gross to look at. Picture is at an odd angle (sloped to the leftas viewed). Not sure how desecrated (or baked, for that matter) relates to desolation. |

| I am rather intrigued how this fits into the challenge description. The image is certainly an eye opener, albeit rather gruesome by some standards. Some may argue it does not meet the challenge criteria and your score could suffer for it. |

| Not the greatest photo - but certainly in my mind one of the more memorable views of something desolate. A burned offering, like those spoken of in the bible. |
