The exposure allows the people to exert varying degrees of presence on the scene, and that's really the making of the story here ... it's as if this is a play (by Neil Simon, I suppose) or a movie (Woody Allen), in which there are major roles, supporting roles and bit parts. And the charm of it is that the contribution to the story is not proportional to the size of the part; several of the fleeting minor players actually have much more to say than some of those who remain on stage throughout but offer us nothing memorable. That's why the story had to be set in NY and not in LA, where this kind of witty inversion of status would not be tolerated - by the performers or by the audience. 10. |

The image seems a bit bright to me, maybe a smaller aperture or some ND filters. |

Unique image (so far) in this challenge. I really like the subject and the desturation of the image. |

My 10 in this challenge. I wanted to do something similar but ran out of time. Excellently captured. A great sense of time passing. Best in the challenge. |

Your photo truely conveys the passing of half-a-minute and the sepia enhances the theme. Great! |

I like this in that some of the people appear to have sat still for 30+ seconds, and with others, they are just a ghostly outline. And I love the duotone treatment. |

this is an interesting concept. The people are almost too clear though--I hardly noticed half of them at first glance. |

very very cool, like the sepia tones a lot. I wish the tones had a bit more punch, they seem a bit flat at the moment |

I really like the concept of this photo, and the sepia treatment, it adds to the timelessness of the photo. The only change I would make would be to crop out the over blown sky in the upper left. It pulls my eye up and away. |

adding sepia made this photo - it could have been taken 50years ago. I like that there are no true modern day images |

the idea is very good. I remember a similar shot of an italian photographer shotted near a church (the shot today is on a calendar).I think that in your shot there is too much light and too much speed, the human shadows aren't well defined. I rate 6.
best regards |

Nice shot and idea, like the motion blurring with a couple of people standing still there. The blown out sky is a bit of an attention stealer and if I had taken this, I would have framed this tighter and left out the sky. Like the b/w conversion, nice tonal range. |
