Window light on through closed blinds. I was using a silver reflector also, but more to block light than to bounce light. Camera on tripod, remote in hand. I've been wanting to shoot this shot for stock for a while, so might as well shoot it in 30 seconds.

I would have expected the minute hand to move 3 degrees in the 30 seconds. you forgot to wind it?

I think this might do better if you could have shown the passage of time in this shot. The minute hand is too crisp.

the best things about this is the colours and the veyr high level of detail. the slight feel of diffused lighting is nicely subtle and works pretty well. main problem is i can't quite understand how a longer exposure enhances the picture; just doesn't say the shutter was open any longer than normal, really. the crop is also a bit cramped and i think the overall impact suffers a little as a result. it's okay, but lacks that special oomph. 5.

What's "30 seconds' about this? It's a clock, which is clever, but beyond that its just as well off using a light at a faster rate.

what a lovely clock...love the golds in it! the image is so soft....

Nice clean composition and sharpness, but this image doesn't really "pop" for me. I wouldn't hang it on my wall, but it might work as a stock image.

having the second hand would have helped.

Love the title. Nice effect from a long exposure - very sharp!
