 I know this shot isn't spectacular, but I haven't done a challenge in a really long time, so I needed something to get me back into the groove of things. This is my wrench.

My shot is rather similar, but I think your shot could have been stronger with a little more subtle lighting. It looks like you used the flash, which reflected quite strongly here.

the flash over exposes the wrench and brings out the dirty details, good idea, but try a lamp or natural light to illuminate the subject, you will be much happier-- I like the concept and the backing though--

IMO if this had been taken with available light without all of the glare it would be much better. It needs shadows or something elso to give it interest. 4

good composition, however it's a little too bright imo. i think a less reflective lighting would make this more pleasing to my eye.

Pic is a little boring... Try using the wrench on a bolt or something like that to give it more interest.

An average shot of a wrench on an unattractive surface, with a flash overexposing parts of the wrench. Shiny objects need more carefull lighting.
