This image does have motion blur, but it is very confusing to look at. It seems like the boat and the blurred pole are both fighting for the main subject. Your motion blur is on an object that normally would not be moving. I guess YOU were moving? I think what makes motion blur pictures interesting is that you can visualize the movement in your mind from a still image. It would have made more sense if the BOAT had a motion blur because in reality, it IS a moving object. Poles don't run around on piers. Or if the background was blurry and your camera focused on the fast moving boat. I hope this wasn't rude and you find it helpful.

It's not really apparent to me that the buoy in the foreground is moving as opposed to merely being out of focus. I am also not crazy about the framing at all. |

Good presentation but I feel the pole on the right really cuts the image up drastically. |

Sorry the picture doesn't suggest motion, the boat looks and I suspect is stationary (anchor lines). |

The foregroun blurred object is kind of a distraction to what looks like the subject boat. Very cool boat out there in the water, one I would like to use for a stationary challenge |

hey, you were moving while taking this shot. nice concept but i don't think other people will find this appelling. BTW, the one thing that makes it seem you were moving, is also very distracting. |

Hmmm. Not sure what you were attempting to do here. The pole appears blurred, like you were in a car or on a train and moving past this scene. Unfortunately, the main subject seems to be the boat - and it's not moving. It's anchored. ;^) I also find the background trees to be distracting. Did you consider cropping this down to just below the shoreline and bring it in a bit from the right as well? Just a thought.
No worries. I'm not voting, only observing. Good luck in the challenge. |

This seems to have the motion coming from something that's not the main subject, and distracts me. |

nice photo of a boat on the lake, but a pole got in the way!
I know it's your blur element, but it feels like a mistake compositionally, something that should have been cropped out.

This is interesting. NOt sure if I sense motion, despite the fact that you focused on the boat and not the pilon. Hmmm - I do like the ocmposition and use of complementary blues and yellows. I'll think on it and come back. |

the pole is rather distracting. I think it takes away from the image. |
