Something in this photo needs to be in focus, like the rider or the horse's face. As is, the motion doesn't enhance the photo because it just looks accidental. |

A nice sense of motion with the backround and foreleg blur.
I can't help but feel that it might have worked better in colour. There would surely have been some very rich browns and greens to work with. |

Either the subject or the background should be blurred, but not both. |

Quite nice. Tones are very nice. I wonder if a tiny adjustment to shutter speed would have put the rider in sharper focus while still maintaining blur on the horse's legs. Easier said than done, no doubt. Just a thought. I like to have some sort of stasis in a motion picture by way of counterpoint. |
