Nicely composed. The reflection of the sun and sky on the glass is great.
I might have tried overlapping the glass with its shadow slightly, to allow for a less skinny aspect-ratio, and to make it a little less half-&-half.
Why did you make it monochrome? I can see potential for great use of colour, here. |

very nice capture of clouds in the magnifying glass. i think the composition may be a bit too tight though. |

Great capture - tough to work with those lighting extremes. I think black/white was a good choice as well. Well done. |

Does demonstrate a scientific property well, but a bit on the plain side as a photo other than one to meet the challenge. Maybe if shot so the magnifying glass overlapped it's shadow more. I do like the clouds in the reflection - more of that would add interest as well. |

Good subject. We thought about using the magnifying glass to melt little green army men, which my son likes to do. |

Just once, I'd really like to see a little black dot with a curl of smoke rising above it.... :P Just kidding. Nice work, but ever-so-slight motion blur happening... |

This is cropped too tightly - the magnifying glass should have some room on the right. Some of the edges look slightly blurred also. You could add more interest with a little smoke. |
