Very well taken, Van. We need to get together in Salida to do some shooting and then all of us can go out to eat!

I really like this. All the blur tells me more about the real place than a crisp sharp image would. Something is actually happening that I can see! I would have given you at least an 8 but I didn't vote. Sorry!

The water in the lower right is way too blown out.

I like the subject, cropping, blur, am unbothered by the blown highlights in the water. The tones seem less appealing, like they need to be "defogged".

Great photograph. Takes me back to my whitewater days. The flow of the river, the temperature of the water and the sheer adrenalin.

This would have worked much better if either the canoeist or the water was unblurred. Difficult to achieve, for sure (I'm not even sure if blurred canoeist, unblurred water would be possible); but it would have made for a spectacular shot.

As it is, it's all just blurred, I'm afraid.

wow, i like this photo. some might think it's a little chaotic (i'm just guessing), but I like how it gives you the sense that you're in the water with this guy gettin thrown around. Nice job--maybe could be better if we weren't lookin at his back and instead more of a profile or head on?

Super angle for the shot, colors and blur are just right. One of my favorites.

Being a paddler and a photographer I'm a sucker for these shots. The only thing that would've improved this IMO is a little more colour. Perhaps a little more of the orange kayak visible.

Water seems blown out white would have like to see the Playboater a little more sharp with the water blurred. good try

Hard to get a slow shutter speed with action like this isn't it? ;^) I like the sense of motion portrayed here. The bright colors help sell the story. Good luck.
