I want to thank my friends at Players Place, N. Charston for helping me with shot. I probably looked funny standing on a bar table with my tripod just to get enough hieght.
This could have been a better photo if done in a studio set up, but you have to work with what you have, right.

My eye is immediately drawn to the blown highlight on the front edge of the table. The blur is a neat idea, but perhaps would have been more effective using one of the colored balls since the white just looks like a chalk smear on a worn table.

From that spot I think you might have been able to make it a one-rail shot off the far end, but three-rails makes a nice effect : )

Hopefully you'll reveal how many attempts this took ... and whether the Eight-ball went in ....

A great idea, moderately well executed.

The blur "trail" of the eight-ball is maybe a little understated - but that's really just a question of taste. And it's a shame that the flourescent light reflection at the head of the table is so intrusive.

I like the blur effect on the cue. And I think that, considering that it was probably shot under conditions that we far from "studio", it's not a bad result.

Great movement work.

Nicely done, I wish the lighting was better. 6

Good idea, looks like you coulda used a little bit longer exposure so that the 8 ball could have made it in.

The idea for this shot is fantastic, and so is the capture of the motion, my only critique is that the lighting is not great, which might effect your score. Also the feet on the bar stool in the top right hand corner should have been cloned out, as they are distracting.

Nice idea (and nice aim!). The colors and the focus are both a bit soft, though. With a sharper background, more contrast in the colors, and maybe a higher angle shot, this would've been one of my favorites.

Good motion blur...and a fantastic 3 in the corner shot. Too bad you couldn't crop out the chairs as they are a distraction. The lighting is a bit harsh, but this is after all a pool hall. Good luck.

Where's the cue ball? Nice image BTW. Good luck.

p.s. - Cute shoes the gal is wearing n the top right corner. ;^)

I'm betting money you missed that money shot. :P

Too much blur IMO...the balls have lost their color in the movement, which shouldn't happen in a good pool shot.
