Thank you very much for the great comments. I did enjoy taking this picture and I got dizzy. The challenge was to hold the camera, spin the merry-go-round, hop on it, and then take the picture. Anyway, my son enjoyed being my model for a change.

Love this shot! Although it almost makes me feel dizzy!

Love the idea, perhaps a little warmer light? A little dodging to bring him out of the shade?

It's been done before, of course. but it still looks pretty good. There's a real sense of rotation, here.

The contrasting light and dark patches in the background work well. It's a shame there isn't more interesting lighting of the subject, though.

it does meet the challenge, however, it seems more as a snap shot for your own family album or something.

Nice expression. The spinning is nicely captured in the background, looks like a good time... that is until he tries to walk.

Great look on his face. Reminds me of a Bill Cosby routine about when he was a kid.

oh, nice creative! I see this and think "I should have thought of that!". I think the sky blur is cool, but keeping it in the shot dillutes your image by making your subject smaller - I'd like to experiment with a "panoramic" kind of crop from just below his hands to just above his head, and take some of the right side off too so he's on the "third" line. Maybe rotate the crop so you have the blur lines making an angle? But you had MUCH more fun shooting this than I did! Although I didn't get motion sick! :-) 5

He-he. I've taken this same kind of shot. It's hard hanging on and taking the photo at the same time isn't it? ;^) Well done.

Great blur-- I'm wondering this was with a sony f717, the reason I ask is because I had alsmot the same exact background when I tried it with my sont-- anyway, great shot for challenge-- 9
