Greetings from the Critique Club Sarah!
Congrats on your best score to date. You certainly deserved it with this fine submission. I think the idea here was very creative and the blue tone works nicely to give us an eerie feel.
Only a couple of things I'd critique here. The open space at the top left hinders the flow of the shot. While it does show that it's a gameboard, it leaves just a bit. The hands on the planchette are a wonderful touch. However, I'd like to see just a tad more detail - not a lot more mind you but just enough to see some texture.
Overall I really like this shot. Very creative indeed and one you should be proud of.
Thanks for the opportunity to critique this image Sarah.
Cheers - Phil |

What I liked: Texture is nice. Quality of the entire image is very good.
What I didn't like: It's not your fault, but the white thing doesn't seem to match the board very well. The fact that there is a black strip where the board doesn't fill the frame at the top. |

Very nice tones and comp. Not so sure about the disappearing hands, but it is still one of my favourites. |

Ahhh. Took me a sec to see the "ghostly" fingers. Nice touch! Haven't seen one of these in a while. Nice choice of theme for your challenge entry. Overall the image works just fine. Only nit for me is the top left corner is distracting. Good luck. |

Techinically you can't 'play' an ouiji board alone because there is simply not enough people to make it move >.> |

Nicely done. The monochrome look was a good choice too. |

Nice composition. I like it and it gave me an idea. I think what will work even better is a long exposure time i.e 10 seconds and in that time moving the pointer to various letters and keeping them at each for a second or so to create this picture in which the pointer is moving.
I like the blue tone, it works well. |

Awesome shot! My favorite so far. :) The color tone used in this image is great, the composition is killer, and I love the ghostly hands! |

This is a very good concept and it has a good color tone to it.
It took me a little over 3 seconds to realize there was a 'ghost hand' thought. It's a little bit too ghostly, if you know what I mean.
Besides that, I like this. |

I think this image works very well. It apears to be balanced. Doesn't really say never play alone, but gives me the idea of 'spirit board' a good meaning. |

I love Ouija boards. I've spent hours of my youth doing that. Cool effect with the light on the pointer and the "vanishing hand." |

I would have liked to have seen a little more of the hands. Maybe my monitor, but seems too ghostly. |
