um, okay. you (motion) blurred the subject and not the background. are you sure that's what you wanted to do?
dude, honestly. what score would you have given this shot had you not shot it? also, if you're gunning for a score, gun high and not just your current average.
you can do better next time, shailesh. good luck.

Hi!

This was a good shot for the challenge. Maybe if the cyclist was less blurred it would be more pleasing to the eye. The bushes in the background are a bit distracing. Very good idea:)

First off nice shot for the challenge. I like the tilt of the camera alsoâ€Â¦adds interest and takes a maybe boring shot and takes it up a notch. I think the problem with this image and why it got hit hard by the voters is that the biker is totally blurredâ€Â¦if you would have tried to follow him and blur the background it might have been a whole point higher if not more. As it is right now my focus is taken to the trees and shrubs in the background which takes me away from the idea of the photoâ€Â¦I think your exposure is good. Try to follow the person in motion when shooting at a slow shutter speed and you might end up with some very goodâ€Â¦and different shotsâ€Â¦good luck.

You got the idea. ;) Just kidding.. I seriously thought it would score close to my current average.

Hi Shailesh-

I think what hurts this photo most is that the background is too busy. It's the only part of the photo in focus, so we search on it for a place of interest and find nothing, and the biker is there but somehow seems secondary to the leaves. It would work better with a plain background. Also, the lighting is natural, but too white. Shooting when the sun is low in the sky will give an outdoor subject a nice photogenic golden glow.

Cute idea, the opposite of most of the bike shots in this challenge!

I'd like to see the subject clear and the background blurry.

The technicals look good on this photo, but combination of motion blur and artistic tilt seems a bit much, especially for those that might easily get queasy.

I like the semitransparent nature of this cyclist. Nice shutter speed.
