Congrats on adding a new image to your top five. I like the model and her smile. I like the clarity of this image at her eyes and face. I like the blurring. What I wish you could do over is the background. Even though it is blurred is still manages to compete with your attractive model - and that is distracting. I assume you didn't have much choice because the swing is in the school yard or back yard of your home...but if there were a better angle to make the background simpler this photo would score much better with me. As it was, I gave it a 5.

This is a really nice shot. The colours and the expression work really well with just the right amkount of blur to give a happy-go-lucky feeling and technically good shot. I guess if you had managed to get it sharper on the subject, it would have helped, but it is perfectly good as it is.

Not really sure what to suggest here, you seemed to have nailed the technical aspects and captured a shot that is full of life.

Very cool picture! How did you get everything except her face in motion? I didn't even dare attempt this challenge - you pulled it off quite well. About the only thing I see I might change is to see her hands, to see what she's swinging on. Very pretty young lady with a great smile, too.

Trading post...
Very nice motion blur. You still managed to get that cute face fairly in focus. I didn't vote this challenge but would have given this a 7.

Trading Post - OK, this critique will be based somewhat on your past shots for part of it. The technical aspects of this shot have improved over recent entries. The settings on your camera are right where they are supposed to be to get this shot. Perfect shutter speed and low ISO. This left you with no grain and the right amount of blur. You did a very good job at keeping on her face and allowing the rest to blur. The colors all around look nice and your postprocessing does not look heavy handed at all. You met this challenge well technically. Now beyond that, the improvements to be made would have been to catch her with a different background and maybe all of her body showing. If you had all green or plantlife and sky in the background and had cuaght her whole body I think you would have scored way high. You did really well hereand captured a light and fun shot. Again - always good to see a new pic in your top rated bar - and even better when it is one of your kids (which I guess I am assuming but she looks alot like you).

I would like to see this with a cleaner background, no house.

Love the fact that the eyes are focused and the rest is not. Well done.

I like this, but I just don't see how the face isn't in motion as well as the body? 5

this does fit the challenge, however, it looks like a snapshot more for a family album or something.

nice job on this photo. the eyes are in great focus. it definitely shows motion well. I feel like I'm swingin with her. The background distracts from her though. I think it would look better with less DOF--ie a different background or less detail in the background.

Did a good job stopping motion of her face, which makes the image work.

nice face shot capture but wish the background would have been less cluttered

This is fun. Kind of with the background wasn't so cluttered. You caught a nice expression on her face with just the right amount of motion blur to make it work. Good luck.
