 Based on the urban legend where you look into a mirror in a dark room and say "Bloody Mary" over and over and she will appear.

POST:
4th! I’ll take it! Thank you for all the wonderful comments. I also want to thank my nephew Andrew for modeling for me on this (although he didn’t want to pose for the “earwig in the ear" idea I had!”…

This one was really quite simple. I hung the mask up from the top frame of the mirror, hung dark sheets around it and turned off most of the lighting. It was then just a matter of adjusting the flash position and exposure to black out at much background as possible.

Thanks again everyone and congrats to the ribbon winners! Nice job!

I am disappointed that the other bloody mary photo did better than yours....yours is a much better photo.

I had never heard of this superstition so I looked it up. You've interpreted it very well, this is photographed excellently. One of my favourites.

This is pretty fun. The feel you got, is of Bloody Mary coming out of the mirror. Nice effect. But, maybe have Mary looking at the boy enstead of herself would also help to the effect.

Twins? The facial expressions don't look the same. Wish I could see the whole frame as well. Great shot otherwise.
