What I like: The best crack picture in the competition IMO. I like the close POV and the muted color.

What I didn't like: I'm not that keen on crack pictures. There ended up being a bunch of them in the competition.

One of the better 'Step On a Crack' shots. The red/brown colour works well as a contrast against the rest of the image.

Yup, that is close to the action and filling the frame. Much more interesting than seen from the usual angle. Well done.

I've run across a number of these while voting, this is by far the best! I'm going out of character for a minute and will tell my score: 8.

Why: The composition is very good. Great triangles, great lines, great color on the shoe.

The only thing I can think to try to make it better is move the intersection of the shoe sole and the crack, put it closer to the 'hotspot' of 33/66 --- but it might not look good there. But I babble ...

I like, great comp, 'nuff said.

I did this one too! I like your Doc's though! I bet they're cute. I think you could have used a little more emphasis on the crack in the sidewalk, you can't see it, since most of the picture is the shoe, and the shadow from the shoe.

Love the abstract feeling of this image. The color of the red leather really makes this pop out ;)

Would have preferred more boot in the shot...

When I first saw this, I thought the sole was actually a wheel, I think it would've helped a little to include a little bit more of the actual shoe. besides that, Very nice focusing.

The best shot with this theme that I've seen so far. :) I like the rich detail and textures.

This is probably the nost used superstition on this challenge... But the compo of this one is not bad... 6

Technically a very nice image but I have to say I think you might have gotten too close for it to be obvious it's a shoe/boot. I had to look twice.

This is a great macro/abstract. It made me stop and take a second look. Great control of exposure and DOF.

There are several shots which deal with this legend but your's is my favorite! You can see the crack and the shoe is still in the air thus creating tension. good work!

It's difficult to tell at first glance that it's a shoe.

good amount of detail and lighting on the ground. would have liked to have seen more of the shoe though.
