 Shot using a 100mm f/2.0 lens at f/2.0 for shallow DOF. The image did not need much processing but I spent a bit of time trying to extract details from the crown by selecting areas of it and applying Curves and USM to get what I want and the carefully removed any halos resulting from my sharpening.

Well the results are in and not too good. A bit disappointed by the results. Don't know if I could have done this subject any better... did enhance th color afterwards, may have had effect. Here it is:


I don't think I'll take part in a flower challenge again unless I have something spectacular. The competition was way too tough this time.

I love these flowers! I like the image, with just the one buttercup in focus, most of the rest slightly out of focus to completely blurred. Beautiful colours. (7)

Nice use of minimalism with the flower challenge. Good focus on subject along with lighting. Great DOF. Doesn't have the wow factor I was looking for but your photograph deserves a respectable score (6)
