Challenge: Glass II (with a twist) (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Olympus E-20N
Location: Buffalo MO
Date: Jun 27, 2006
Aperture: F8
ISO: 80
Shutter: 1/1
Galleries: Family, Self Portrait
Date Uploaded: Jun 27, 2006

I walked acrost the street to Buffalo Glass, they gave me lost of cool broken glass. I looked at some old family photos and some of mine, the big shot is my Grandmother, one of those photos from a booth. I printed them from my computer on to glama(a transparent paper) ripped them up and used spray tack to put them on the back of the glass. I found one of the old sadbags my husband used as weight in his truck. Spred it out in the studio arranged the glass with photos on it. Used the overhead to put a color gel on the back ground and just used my moddleing lights and a trypod. I wanted to use the refelections and the transparient glass so keeping the photos somewhat transpairent was good. Other things worked with this that I liked as well. I just adjusted contrast, and small touch up I like keeping the photo natural. Used my old Olympus as I am the queen of Obsolete.

I really like this study. There are lots of interesting things, but my attention keeps returning to your grandmother, which is appropriate in the shards of your life.

BTW, I have never heard of glama, so I have learned something too.

great idea. the yellow tint works for this but I think it would be better just a little less yellow. If the sand had natural color it would pop more.

One of the most creative ideas I've seen in this challenge - and it was executed well. I'm not a big fan of the yellow background, but I'm not a big fan of yellow in general. Great job though!

Very good idea; I just don´t like the yellow color at the background...
